Travel Club Scam ordered to pay victims in Wisconsin

greenbaypressgazette.com reported A company mailed out “winning” postcards to 460,000 consumers and snared 884 Wisconsinites in an elaborate travel scheme shut down this year by the state’s Department of Justice. Court documents filed this month in Outagamie County show the complexity of the trap that led to a $3.8 million penalty leveled by Judge Dee Dyer to pay victims that bought into “Going Places Travel.” The restitution will take up to two years to filter to travelers fooled in the fraud.
