Hastings, Nebraska: Local woman victim of online license renewal scam

According to 1011now.com a warning for drivers about renewing your license and a website that one woman says everyone needs to stay away from. Sherri from Hastings says she was the victim of a scam. She received a postcard in the mail which said Nebraska DMV, telling her to log on to a website to renew her license. She typed in “ClickDMV.NE.gov” in the search bar and a legitimate link pops up at the top. Everything seemed fine until her bank notified her of an unusual charge. Read Article

Police officials warn of a phone scam in South Lake Tahoe, California

Kolotv.com reported that investigators say on Saturday, January 12th a South Lake Tahoe resident got a call from a man who claimed to be with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
