Madagascar: 43 tons of counterfeit soap seized

On February 14 2013, customs in Toamasina were able to discover a 42,972 tonne shipment of counterfeit soap powder, imported fraudulently from Madagascar. Beirut: 40 tons of counterfeit cigarettes seized by Lebanese Customs

As reported by Dailystar.com.lb, Lebanon thwarted the largest ever cigarette smuggling attempt to Egypt in December, the Egyptian Embassy announced Monday. “Out of 15 containers, owned by a Jordanian company, four containers [were found to include] 40 tons of counterfeit cigarettes,” a statement by the embassy said. Pennsylvania: York store owner faces counterfeit merchandise charges
